ALYSON RECEIVES THE ANN GOOCH AWARD
AT SWEET ADELINES INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION

Congratulations to our Musical Director, Alyson Chaney, who was presented with the Ann Gooch Award at the Sweet Adelines International Convention in Calgary.

The Ann Gooch Award, which is open to nominations from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand, was presented to Alyson for her outstanding contribution to developing and promoting the barbershop art form, and .

With a standing ovation from an audience of over 10,000 at the Saddledome in Calgary, and many more watching on the international webcast, Alyson received the Ann Gooch plaque after being nominated by us and the Region 31 Management Team - how delighted were we!!!?

In a separate presentation she also received a crystal globe from the Region 31 Management Team in recognition of her work in raising the profile of barbershop in the UK and of  Region 31 worldwide.

And one member of Lincoln Sounds was in the Saddledome to see the presentation - a real priviledge!
