Lincoln Sounds

Ladies Barbershop Chorus

REGIONAL CONVENTION
The Symphony Hall, Birmingham 2007

Our final note - Wow, what a feeling!

We had front row seats as we settled in for the quartet competition on the Friday evening when our MD Alyson Chaney was on stage with her new quartet, Cornish Lace . . . .

And what a great start to the weekend!  Alyson (left) and Cornish Lace picked up 3rd place medals - a real achievement from them as they had only had a few rehearsals (held somewhere between Nottingham and Cornwall) before Convention.

We were competitor No 5 - between two fantastic choruses, Pheonix and Forth Valley, so our 32 ladies on stage had something to live up to - and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute (all 6 of them), thanks in part to the great response (as usual) from the wonderful Sweet Adelines audience.

Before we knew it, we were off stage and into the audience for the rest of the competition, and then the wait for the announcement of the medal winners . . . . .

 '3rd place Mid Size Chorus . . . . LINCOLN SOUNDS'.

WOW!  We had won our first convention medal which, of course, we will be wearing proudly at EVERY opportunity.

The very proud ladies of Lincoln Sounds at their first rehearsal after Convention . . . with medals!
