LADY OF THE YEAR
2008 - Elaine Megit - On the nomination forms Elaine was described by other chorus members as a willing volunteer, who is calming, kind, helpful, generous and a great chorus member. She has been on the BOD 'forever', working hard for the chorus, as well as helping with choreo (amonst other things) - once again, a really worthy winner.
2007 - Sheila Nash - Sheila took on the role of Secretary without even a whimper and even volunteered to carry on after her 2-year stint was complete - what a star! She's given an outstanding commitment to the chorus, always working hard behind the scenes, even when she's away on holiday (oh the joy of emails), so there's never an excuse for us not knowing what's going on. She's friendly and approachable with a great sense of humour, never letting anything ruffle her - long may she scribe.
2006 - Sally Marsden - Sally has been a staunch member of the Chorus for nearly twelve years. During that time she has become section leader for the Leads and secretary of the Music team. She has also willingly taken on the role of assistant musical director, a completely new 'adventure' for her, and one where her natural musical talent and great sense of humour have been of great benefit to the chorus.
2005 - Fiona Smith - Fiona is our Fundraiser, a role that she took on with relish, getting funding from local and national organisations. She has allowed her house to be taken over as a storeroom for all the items to be sold on our stall at various village fetes and car boot sales. She and her trusty band of helpers have braved the vagaries of the English summer in order to raise funds for the chorus. Unfortunately she was in hospital when the LOTY winner was announced at our annual dinner, but some members paid her a visit for a bedside presentation.
2004 – Pat Barnett - Pat is – and has been right from the outset when we realised we were allowed to move! - our choreographer, a new experience for her. In taking on this role, she has probably found new levels of patience in getting us to ‘perform’. She also joined the BOD, taking on the role of ‘Singout Secretary’ with all that entails and is our Tape Librarian.

2003 – Debbie Watson - Debbie (right) was our first President and when she ‘retired’ from that role, she put her organisational skills to good use by becoming our ‘willing volunteer’ as Music Festival and Convention Coordinator, arranging transport, hotels, rehearsal venues, schedules, and all the other minutia needed to get us on stage, which ensured that everyone knew exactly where and when, etc – a great relief for everyone else who didn’t have to worry about anything!

2002 – Linda Royle - Linda (right) is Bari Section Leader and was also Chairman of the organisation committee for our first concert – ‘Variety Five-O’ which celebrated the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and hosted numerous social functions—her BBQs are renowned. She got Lottery funding for a recording system and set up our first web page. She has also flourished as our MC and always manages to surprise us with her jokes – it’s very difficult to sing when you’re still laughing
